The platform is to work with skilled informally trained Basotho youth, who are making a living through their crafts and talents under the fact that unemployment is the major factor affecting the youth worldwide, many of our youth are unemployed and uninformed of jobs or agencies that can recruit them and place them under a temporary job or income generating position within their skill sets. Any company, cooperate, organization initiative, network or platform created by RUNFREE is aimed at educating and providing entrepreneurial opportunities for individuals and/ or groups for the youth making efforts to re-instill the idea of change in this country. THE GALLERY initiative/organization; About: An organization of artists whose focus is the support and advancements of local arts and artists throughout the community Mission: To support the growth and development of artists community and expand awareness of visual arts through education, exhibitions and special programming Vision: Our vision is that THE GALLERY in Lesotho be a multidisciplinary place of creativity and growth regionally recognized as a leader in the representation and support of artists and emerging visual art forms. The “AFRICAN WOMAN EXPO 2019” didn’t show in 2020 showed 2021 “COMMON GROUNDS EXPO and ART TALK, worked with a few independent organizations including JCI, LCCI, SELEMELA, and MINISTRY OF TOURISM as one of the government organizations. THE AFRICAN WOMAN ART EXPO About Exhibition: The African Woman Art Exhibition/ Mosali Oa Moafrika Art Exhibition is an event launched on August 9th 2018 (Thaba Bosiu Cultural Village) by RunFree, with intentions to inspire, empower and celebrate women, as this day is known as the national women’s day. The theme is created to reach the minds and hearts of those belonging to this day and Month through fine works of our local artists, as they create and embody the idea of what being a woman means today, articulating these through their different perceptions. Creating a space that sparks and brings up different conversations between artists and audience. This Annual show has taken its second turn in 2019 and will continue to go on following the 2021 exhibition. Theme: The artworks created are to personify the idea of an African woman, her beauty, her smile, her pain or otherwise, whether physical, visual, or symbolic, cultural or cross-cultural, lyrical or poetic, these ideas are to show or reveal the African woman of our times as per each individual artist’s choice.
